The files include both incoming and carbon copies of outgoing correspondence and were originally labelled "personal correspondence" by Captain Levy. A machine-produced print-out of individual names and addresses with manuscript notations. The list is accompanied by an undated, typewritten letter to "Chep," signed "Chas." At the bottom of the letter is Morrison's note to his secretary for a thank-you to be sent to Charlie Seeman (Seeman was a budget consultant in the city's Chief Administrative Office). The questions raised in Seeman's letter are answered by Morrison's mss notes.

Articles from various newspapers collected by the New Orleans Police Department. Many of the clipped articles, especially in the "Race Relations" folders, are from three local African American newspapers: the Pittsburgh Courier, the Sentinel, and the Sepia Socialite, not of which survive in complete runs in the Archives' newspaper collection.
