The Economic Development and Policy Planning Division was charged by the Mayor to create employment and wealth generating opportunities for the citizens of New Orleans through increased activity and synergistic cooperation of the individual offices under its control. Those subordinate offices comprised: Economic Development, Small & Emerging Business Development, Business Retention & Attraction, Office of Tourism, Arts & Entertainment, City Business & Permitting Assistance Center, Urban Development, and Neighborhood Commercial Revitalization.
