 File — Box: 8, Folder: 16

Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The collection includes paper and born-digital records.

The paper records are subject/correspondence files. A large portion of the files are related to the New Orleans Recreation Department (NORD) and Fielkow’s efforts to reform and revitalize NORD through the creation of its successor commission, the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC). Other files include projects of special interest to the Councilman, such as youth recreational activities and adoption advocacy. Finally, files and documents reflect the day-to-day operations of his office.

In addition to the paper records, two members of Councilmember Fielkow's staff -- Danielle Viguerie (Director of Communications) and Sayde Finkel (Director of Special Projects) -- transferred born-digital documents on two flash drives. The files include correspondence (primarily outgoing), press releases and statements, speeches, meeting agendas and notes, reports, photographs, and other documents reflecting the business of the Council-At-Large office.

Both the paper and the digital files include some records from the interim term of Councilmember Eric Granderson, Fielkow's successor.
