Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The records in the collection span the years 1970-1971 and contain:

  • correspondence
  • constituent concerns
  • research and studies for the proposed lead abatement ordinances 4957 and 4990
  • maps and documents from City Planning Commission hearings
  • a large file started by his predecessor, Councilman-at-Large John J. Petre, on the defunct Riverfront Expressway.


The collection contains approximately 300 paper records and correspondences, twelve handwritten notes, three telegrams, eight zoning maps, one aerial survey map and ephemera including three bumper stickers, three brochures, two postcards, two envelopes, one full-page newspaper clipping, and one invitation. The nature of the paper records include City Planning Commission meeting minutes, correspondence with citizens and City officials, thank-you notes, memos, citizen petitions and grievances, and advertisements and solicitations from various companies and organizations.
