Processing Information
The letters here were removed from the Louisiana Division's Vertical File and the City Archives' Official Vertical file to form this artifical series. Their original location is unclear, although they were obviously among the files kept by the City Librarian; whether they were weeded by the Librarian himself as routine correspondence files were discarded or whether they were put into the vertical files by library staff at a later date is unknown.
