These volumes, one for each of the years 1853, 1854, and 1857, list ordinances and resolutions according to the board (Aldermen or Assistant Aldermen) in which they originated. Each record includes the title of the legislation along with dates of referrals to committees, referral to the opposite board for concurrence, etc. None of the three books appears to be a complete record of legislation for the years indicated.
