The Arts Council subject files comprise a wide range of material documenting the agency's work, the work of local, state, regional and national artists and art organizations, and the work of other organizations in which Arts Council staff members were inv olved. Included are minutes of the Board of Directors and its several committees, correspondence of the Board and of the ACNO staff (including communications with the Mayor's Office and other municipal government agencies), and files relating to individua l ACNO programs and projects. Some working files have been retained in place but most others were discarded since they duplicated material found in more formal files.
