Biographical / Historical

The Conveyance Office, founded in 1827, registered sales for public notice. It has since been merged with the Recorder of Mortgages, and Custodian of Notarial Archives to form the Land Records Division of the Office of the Clerk of Civil District Court for the Parish of Orleans.
