Scope and Contents

Microfilm of index cards containing information taken from cemetery tombstones (and, in some cases, from the cemetery records themselves) in New Orleans cemeteries, compiled by the WPA in the 1930s. The cards include some or all of the following information: name of deceased, parents, birth and death dates, and the location of the grave or tomb.
