Description

Manuscript diary entries recording school and social events, interspersed with copies of lessons. Also included are several printed lists of students and teachers along with printed descriptions of the school and its programs. A resident of Franklin, La., and a student at Belle Vue High School near Lynchburg, Va. Source unknown.

Scope and Contents 10 items (106 pieces). Manuscript letters, mostly from his adoptive father, James Armor, a New Orleans commission merchant. They deal with the son's schooling at the Abbeyville Institute near Lancaster, Pa. and later at the Mobile Institute in Alabama.
