The records are reports to the City Council, records of suits in various courts, correspondence and subject files, opinions of the city attorney, financial records, and records of the assistant city attorney.

Judiciary Books fo the First Municipality

This manuscript volume, in English, appears to record suits in which the attorney represented the municipality. Brief records for each suit give the suit number, name of the party being sued, very brief reference to the nature of the suit, and an amount, presumably the amount of tax or other obligation being sued for. At the rear of the volume are other, possibly related, records dealing with moneys collected by the attorney for the municipality.
