Wood, Albert Baldwin
Biography
Albert Baldwin Wood was a world-recognized engineer and designer of water pumps, notably the "Wood Screw Pump," designed in 1913. He served with the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans in the early 1900s and was General Superintendent from 1938 until his death in 1956. He was a graduate of Tulane University with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1899.
