English translations of the original Spanish Cabildo records. The original records are five manuscript volumes, in Spanish. Volume 1 begins with an account of O'Reilly's arrival in the province, followed by a chronological journal of the minutes of the Cabildo's meetings, along with copies of documents presented to the assemblage. These minutes are signed by the members present at each meeting, as well as by the secretary of the Cabildo.
