Official Proceedings, 1803-1836
Scope and Contents
The records are manuscript volumes containing the minutes of the individual council meetings, beginning with the session of 8 Frimaire An XII (November 30, 1803) and continuing through the period of the Conseil Municipal and into that of the Conseil de Ville. In addition to the proceedings proper, these records also list the individuals provided monetary relief by the Council. There is a gap in the proceedings from February, 1829 to September, 1831. These volumes are recorded in French; English translations are available.
Also included here are the proceedings of the "secret sesions," in which the council met behind closed doors, rather than a public assemblies. These meetings were recorded separately.
