Includes material originally uploaded to the City Council website between 2004-2016. News releases, promotional videos, and public copies of presentations that would have been available through the website are available for download here. This might include material published from individual city councilmembers.

While the city council's website posted additional kinds of records, such as ordinances, request for proposals, and contracts, these are not available in this seris at this time in order to compare duplicates with the physical copies. Photographs published on the city council's website will be available at a later date.

Biographical / Historical

This version of nolacitycouncil.com was launched in 2004 during the first Nagin administration and lasted until 2016 during the second Landrieu adminstration. Much of the information on the website related to the recovery from Hurricane Katrina, including various economic, cultural, and crime initiatives. The city council also used the website to publish public notices, as well as respond to current events, the Mayor, state and federal government, and legal action taken against the council.
