Scope and Contents
The Association built four important theatre buildings during its history, the last being the Grand Opera House (1871-1906). The records include one manuscript minute book of the Association, 1899-1905 (several meetings per month), which detail the operation of the building and the Association's dealings with the lessee, Henry Greenwall. Also included are various legal papers (stocks, typewritten correspondence, a summons from the Circuit Court of the United States) and miscellaneous typewritten extracts from the minutes, 1904-1905.
