Councilmember Frank Friedler District A records
The records refelct the interests of Friedler's District A office; topics of note include the Audubon Park and the expansion of Audubon Zoo, preservation of historic neighborhoods, emergency health services, and property tax assessment.
Director's Office Records, 1979
The records are useful in that they document the operations of the Department in a presumably typical year during the last quarter of the century. They deal not only with the operations of the several divisions within the Department but also with services provided by Property Management to other city agencies and other inter-agency relationships. Interactions with the community at large are also documented by several subject files (e.g., Mardi Gras).
Mayor deLesseps S. Morrison records
Mayor Ernest N. Morial records
Mayor T. Semmes Walmsley records
Mayor Victor H. Schiro records
The records include correspondence/subject files from Schiro's tenure as Councilman, as well as his terms as Mayor (the 1961 files contain both mayoral and councilmanic papers). Also included is a series of records from the Mayor's Public Relations Office, 1957-1970 (extending slightly into the tenure of Schiro's successor, Moon Landrieu).
