This is a photocopy of Mrs. Lapuyade's manuscript diary in which she recounts her early years in France, her voyage to New York, her subsequent journey by train to Jackson, Mississippi in 1891, and her married life in New Orleans. Included are descriptions of the Insane Asylum in Jackson (where her father was employed) and of the dairy business in the Carrollton section of New Orleans.
