The records document both individual projects and ongoing Commission concerns. Among the former are files dealing with the 1984 Louisiana World Exposition and among the latter are files dealing with such matters as public buildings, streets, transportation, and zoning.They were transferred to the City Archives in several groups during the 1980s. In 1991-1992, City Archives staff arranged the files into series based on the projects or functional areas pertinent to each file folder. Folders are arranged in numerical order corresponding to the file numbers shown in the inventories that follow
