News releases, email newsletters, and other announcments from the city council, as well as individual members, that were posted on the New Orleans City Council website. The archives received the new releases as individual pdfs and has compiled the individual pdfs into master pdfs by year of publication. Each compiled pdf is text searchable by using the "Find" function, or ctrl/command-F.

Many of the news releases announce meetings, certain initiatives, or completion of certain city wide projects, including Hurricane Katrina clean up and rebuilding. Other news releases respond to certain news events, like criminal indictments of elected officials or sports teams.
