Biographical / Historical

Daniel Levins Kelly (1927-2003) served as the City Council representative for District E from 1962-1966. Prior to government service, Kelly was the owner of Crescent City Drayage and president of Dan Kelly Warehouse. He was a Louisiana State Representative from 1959-1962 and State Fire Marshal from 1980-1985. Additionally, Kelly served as Clerk of Municipal Court, Organizier for Mosquito Control the City of New Orleans, and head of the Railroad Terminal Board.
