The manuscript rolls give the names of soldiers, their rank, and a variety of information regarding their enlistment and service.

Scope and Contents The general orders were published in two volumes, one for 1867 and the other for 1868. Each order is "signed" by the Assistant Adjutant General and also carries the actual signature of a second, usually inferior, officer. Most of the orders deal with personnel matters (transfers, appointments, changes in command, etc.) and various matters concerning the military and/or the civilian population.
