This series contains the builk of the CPC collection, including most of the more recent files created by the City Planning Commission after its merger with the Board of Zoning Adjustments. Meeting minutes, zoning dockets, and ordinances and amendments were produced by the CPC office for the City Council and the public. Subject files and office records were used for internal studies related to zoning and zoning ordinances.

Councilmember James Fitzmorris At-Large Records

This collection includes 18 boxes of files from Fitzmorris's tenure as At-Large Councilmember. Major areas of focus are Leases on City owned property, the Sewerage and Water Board, and extensive recordkeeping of his appointments. This collection also includes a small amout of Fitzmorris' personal papers.

Scope and Contents Relatively few records have survived from the 16 years of Behrman's first tenure; those extant consist mainly of in-coming correspondence from city, parish, or state agencies, neighborhood civic groups, public officials, and private citizens. Following appraisal and a preliminary folder inventory, the records were arranged and reinventoried by Clem Unangst, a 1989 intern from the University of New Orleans History Department's archives management program.
